The Texoma Health Foundation (THF) administers and supports programs and initiatives that address community health priorities.

Our priorities are:

  1. To manage, support and promote Reba’s Ranch House, providing families of hospital patients with a comfortable, affordable place to stay.
  2. To improve access to primary, preventive and follow-up care for underinsured and uninsured residents, increase awareness of early detection and improve the health of residents across our communities.
  3. To support programs and initiatives that work to increase the number of registered nurses in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma.

With the help of numerous collaborative partners, generous donors and active volunteers, in 2007-2008 we:

  • Awarded more than $421,550 in community grants to nonprofit organizations and sponsored six nonprofit community events.
  • Provided scholarships to area children with diabetes to attend Camp Sweeney, a three-week residential diabetic life skills training program.
  • Allocated more than $650,000 to the Reba’s Ranch House endowment, $180,000 to House operations and $2.4 million to the construction of a new Reba’s Ranch House replacement site, offering lodging and comfort to families with hospitalized loved ones.
  • Raised money for cardiovascular research, local education and CPR training.
  • Assisted with covering the cost of breast cancer services for uninsured women through partnerships with area providers and Komen for the Cure.
  • Provided community education on early prevention and screenings for chronic diseases.
  • Assisted providers in covering the cost of uninsured care.
