Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States and is a major cause of disability.
All four counties served by the Texoma Health Foundation (THF) carry heart disease rates significantly higher than their respective state and national rates. This is a serious statistic for our communities and we have some challenging work to do!
THF’s Go Red Campaign provides screenings and community education to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease and the importance of prevention and early detection. THF wants to significantly increase awareness of heart disease and improve our local statistics.
THF’s annual Go Red for Women Luncheon benefits the American Heart Association. Donations can be designated to AHA’s national research or to CPR kits to be distributed locally. Join us for this year’s lunch and help fund crucial cardiovascular research and education!
