2010 Memorial Day activities included a special ribbon cutting and golf tournament in celebration of the opening of the new Reba’s Ranch House.

Reba joined together with major donors and volunteers to cut the ribbon of the new and expanded Reba’s Ranch House located just off of US Highway 75 next to Texoma Medical Center and Cigna. The events were held in celebration of the House’s future while honoring its past. 

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Reception served to recognize our major donors who assisted in continuing the dream of Reba’s Ranch House, as well as a special dedication to the community leaders and volunteers who originally helped make the House a reality in 1991. On the morning of Memorial Day over 180 golfers helped raise funds for the new House through participation in the Reba’s Charity Golf Classic.

For more than 20 years, volunteers have helped to make possible fundraising activities each Memorial Day weekend to benefit projects supported by Reba McEntire. Over the years, special events have included numerous live performances by Reba McEntire and other country music stars, galas, dinners and community events. The weekend is also known for Reba’s Charity Golf Classic, which draws golfers from all over North Texas and Southern Oklahoma.

Proceeds from the tournament and event help Reba’s Ranch Housein Denison provide families of hospital patients a comforting, affordable place to stay. Inspired by the vision and support of entertainer Reba McEntire, Reba’s Ranch House opened in 1992 and has welcomed more than 24,600 guests.
