Texoma Health Foundation recognizes the difficulties communities across our service areas are facing. In response, we have established a response fund through Texoma Giving Partners, collected masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and other PPE to distribute to nonprofits, created a group purchasing co-op for Texoma organizations to help reduce cost and improve delivery times and expanded grant priorities for the 2020-2021 cycle.
We want to ensure a safe nonprofit worksite to protect staff and guests/clients. PPE and other essentials can be listed for grant dollars.
Our priority on access includes a strong focus on mental wellness, as well as programming that improves the quality of life for all.
THF has maintained a focus on increasing the number of nurses educated and entering our service area to work - addressing national and local shortages.
Our committee will also consider applications in response to closures of nonprofits and/or critical programs as a result of COVID-19.
We partner with various local, state and national partners to improve mental wellbeing outcomes in the communities we serve. Early detection and coordinated care through community-wide integration of mental wellness in daily lives is the path to reduce suicide rates in our area.
